Welcome to Sunny View on the western coast of the Isle of Wight. This 4 star self catering chalet is set in a secluded part of the Island with access to the beach. The chalet is well presented and large enough to accommodate a family of 4 for a comfortable relaxing holiday.
Sunny View has WiFi access, TV/DVD player, a selection of books, xbox-360 games console and board games, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge area and bedrooms. Facilities are provided to sit outside on the patio, enjoying the amazing view.
The chalet is very well presented, clean and fresh. Sunny View has gas central heating and all gas and electricity are included, as is bed linen and towels. The lounge area has two comfortable leather sofas, a large screen Smart TV, DAB Radio/CD player and DVD player, games console and a selection of games and books. Smoking is not permitted in the property. WiFi is provided free of charge via Sunny View’s private network. USB charging points are available for guests to use in the lounge, kitchen and both bedrooms.
The bedrooms are well appointed with wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Bedside lamps and mirrors are in both rooms and a hairdryer is also provided in each bedroom (when occupied by adults). A DAB clock radio is provided in each bedroom. The double bedroom has a 4ft 6in black metal frame bed and the twin room chrome metal frame beds, allowing plenty of room for storage of cases underneath. Additional blankets and pillows are available on request from the owners. A cot and high chair can supplied if requested in advance, if the cot is requested 1 single bed will be removed from the twin room and the cot put in its place
On site facilities include a small shop, laundry, pitch and putt, crazy golf childrens play area, football pitch and extensive grassed areas. Access to the beach and amazing views of the Needles and Hurst Castle are just a short walk away. There are some charges for use of the on site facilities, via the site management office or shop.
Nearby attractions include the Needles Pleasure Park at Alum Bay with the coloured sands and chairlift, Freshwater Golf Course, Dimbola Lodge and photographic museum, Tapnell Farm and Farringford House the former home of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Other local activities include horse riding, water sports, walking alpacas, fossil hunting and access to an extensive walking and cycling experience. Afton Down and Tennyson Down are among the most popular and spectacular walks.
Shopping, Places to Visit and Eat
Freshwater is a short drive away where you will find shops and eating places, the Red Lion is a favourite for visitors. Yarmouth a nearby historic town, with a Tudor castle and a range of local shops. The Wightlink ferry from Lymington docks in Yarmouth Harbour.
Travelling further afield you will find the magic of Osborne House (Queen Victoria’s former home) located in East Cowes, Blackgang Chine at the southern tip of the Island near Chale, Carisbrooke Castle on the outskirts of Newport and many other Isle of Wight attractions.
The site is approximately 4km from Yarmouth vehicle/passenger ferry terminal from where taxis are usually available, and is 800m from the nearest bus stop. Vehicular access to the site is practical via a tarmac road which is restricted to 10mph and has a number of speed humps
You will have access to the entire chalet.
We will meet you on arrival to hand over the keys, arrange to collect the keys from you on departure and be contactable by telephone if needed. In light of COVID-19 social distancing will be maintained at all times and the keys cleaned for you prior to hand over. Cleaning is in line with industry standard recommendations for COVID-19.
All bed linen and towels are included in the hire price but please bring your own beach towels.
