This 4 star self catering chalet is set in a secluded part of the Island with access to the beach, and catches the amazing sunsets across the western Solent. The chalet is very well presented and large enough to accommodate a family of 4 for a comfortable relaxing holiday.
Sunny View has your own private Wi-Fi access, smart TV and DVD player, a selection of books, xbox-360 games console and board games, a well equipped kitchen for your convenience, a comfortable lounge area and 2 well laid out bedrooms. A picnic bench and parasol are provided to allow guests to sit outside on the patio, enjoying the amazing view and if you wish enjoying a meal or a drink.
Sunny View has fabulous views across Brambles Chine and the Solent, you can see Hurst Castle and the mainland from the dining area and patio.
Sunny View is very well presented, clean and fresh making it the perfect self-catering holiday accommodation. The chalet benefits from gas central heating which means winter holidays are warm and cosy, and all gas and electricity are included in the standard price. Bed linen and towels are also included. The lounge has two comfortable leather sofas a faux leather beanbag that makes an ideal footstool , a large screen Smart HD TV, DAB Radio/CD player and DVD player, Xbox 360 games console with games and a selection of board games and books. Smoking is not permitted in the property, and we do not allow pets. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge via Sunny Views’ private network. USB charging points are available for guests to use in the lounge, kitchen and both bedrooms.
The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven with an extractor hood to make cooking a pleasure rather than a chore. You will find a full range of crockery, cutlery, cups and mugs, kitchen utensils and scales, pots and pans, bowls and dishes glassware, a teapot and cafetèire. A fridge freezer, microwave dishwasher and washer dryer are all included and sit alongside the dining area suitable for 4 people. The bedrooms are well appointed with wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Bedside lamps and mirrors are in both rooms and a hairdryer is also provided in each bedroom (when occupied by adults). A DAB clock radio is provided in each bedroom. The double bedroom has a UK standard 4ft 6in black metal frame bed with comfortable mattress. Duvets are suitable for summer and winter use, with extra blankets and pillows available from Brian and Carol on request. USB charging points are also located in each bedroom.
In the twin room you will find chrome metal frame beds also with comfortable mattresses, the beds allow plenty of room for storage of cases underneath.

Sunny View has access to the beach via the steps at Brambles Chine, the beach which forms part of Colwell Bay is a mix of sand and shingle and at low tide provides a beautiful beach that you could imagine is anywhere in the world. Oh and don’t forget those amazing sunsets!
On site facilities include a laundry, pitch and putt, crazy golf, children’s play area, gym trail, football pitch and extensive grassed areas. A shared barbecue area with seating is available close to Sunny View. Golf clubs and balls, cricket kits and tennis rackets and balls can be accessed free of charge.
The site also has facilities for charging electric vehicles.

Nearby attractions include the Needles Pleasure Park at Alum Bay with the coloured sands and chairlift, Freshwater Golf Course, Dimbola Lodge and photographic museum, Tapnell Farm and Farringford House the former home of Alfred Lord Tennyson. Other local activities include horse riding, water sports, walking alpacas, fossil hunting and access to an extensive walking and cycling experience. Afton Down and Tennyson Down are among the most popular and spectacular walks.
Shopping, Places to Visit and Eat
Freshwater is a short drive away where you will find shops and eating places, the Red Lion is a favourite for visitors. Yarmouth a historic town is nearby, with a Tudor castle and a range of local shops. Some great eating places can be found here including On The Rocks – a unique volcanic rock cooking experience. The Wightlink ferry from Lymington docks here in Yarmouth Harbour.
Travelling further afield you will find the magic of Osborne House (Queen Victoria’s former home) located in East Cowes, Blackgang Chine at the southern tip of the Island near Chale, Carisbrooke Castle on the outskirts of Newport and many other Isle of Wight attractions.

The site is approximately 4km from Yarmouth vehicle/passenger ferry terminal from where taxis are usually available, and is 800m from the nearest bus stop. Vehicular access to the site is practical via a tarmac road which is restricted to 10mph and has a number of speed humps

You will have access to the entire chalet.
Interaction with guests
We will meet you on arrival to hand over the keys, arrange to collect the keys from you on departure and be contactable by telephone if needed. Cleaning is in line with industry standard recommendations.
Other things to note
All bed linen and towels are included in the hire price but please bring your own beach towels. EV charging is provided by Linstone Chine Holiday Village and is a chargeable service paid via the Monta App
